|
| |
THE judging period for the
tidy towns competition has commenced since June 1. The local
Development Association are asking everyone in the community, to
make a special effort to keep all areas tidy. It is hoped that the
great response received in recent years from householders will
continue. Dumping of household refuse has been noticed in some areas
and efforts to improve
the situation are continuing. A big clean
up is planned for this Thursday evening at
6.30pm. Please support the effort that will commence from
theBridewell.

SENIOR
TEAM: Our senior team made
the long journey to Lauragh on Sunday, and played a draw with
Tuosist in the co league. The final score was Tuosist 0-13, Tarbert
1-10. Tarbert staged a fine come back in the 2nd half, after
trailing by a six pt margin at half time. A well taken goal by
Darragh Lanigan early in the 2nd half was the tonic the team needed
to bring them back into the game. Again in the closing stages of the
game the team came back from a three pt deficit to force a draw.
This was a good result for the team, who played with great heart,
despite the unavailability of a number of players. Making a welcome
return to the team was Deo O’Connor, and had an impressive game. The
team was D Enright, B Carrig, J Wren, M O’Sullivan, K Denihan, D
O’Connor, S Denihan, O O’Connell, E O’Connell, P O’Connell, D Kiely,
A Langan, J Holly, D Lanigan, K Wren. Subs C Holly, S Sheehan,N
Kelly. |
