and well supported table quiz was held in aid of Meningitis Foundation,

excellently presented by quiz master, Fr Mossy Brick, PP, just one

KERRY CHAMBER CHOIR: The Kerry Chamber Choir were recent visitors
to St Marys Church, where they sang at the Palm Sunday vigil and gave
a short recital afterwards. The choir, which was formed by Aidan O’Carroll
in 1992, and is made up of about 20 singers, was making its first
visit to Tarbert. One of its members is Kathleen Lehane from Tarbert,
who has been singing with the choir for the last four years. She has
been involved in all of the choirs concerts, including Handel’s “Messiah”,
The Merry Widow” and most recently the famous Strauss Operatta “Die
Fledermaus” in Siamsa Tire last March. Their next major production
is the Haydn Creation, which will be performed later in the year.
The choir members were particularly appreciative of the warm welcome
they received from Fr Mossy Brick PP and the congregation and hope
it will not be too long before they are invited back. |
