THERE
was no winner of the €5,800 jackpot in the GAA lottery draw,
held at the Shannon Ferry Bar. The numbers drawn were 4, 6, 12, 24.
Lucky dip winners of €30 each were Jason Wrenn, Joan Brennan,
Joan Murphy, Mr Holly c/o Carmodys Bar. Bar prize winners were bottle
of whiskey, sponsored by the Shannon Ferry Bar, Anne Enright. €15
each Eddie Holly, Shena McCoy, Antone Enright. Promoters prize €15
John Foley. The next jackpot will be €5,900 and the draw will
be held at 11.30pm on Sunday night at the Lanterns Hotel. All
are welcome.

KINGDOM
GAELS: Two Tarbert footballers, John Holly and Robert Patwell
wereon the Kingdom Gaels team from London, who recently played S Kerry
as part of the S Kerry football board centenary celebrations. Star
of the victorious Kingdom Gales team was corner forward, John Holly,
who scored 2-6, out of a
total of 2-11, while Robert Patwell was a most confident goalkeeper.
Kerry Co Board Chairman, Sean Walsh, presented the victorious team
with their medals.

CEILI:
A ceili will be held in the Marian Hall, Moyvane on this Friday, October
25, commencing at 10.30pm. Music by Mort Kelleher Ceili band. GUN
CLUB AGM: The AGM of the Tarbert gun club will be held in the Community
Centre, Tarbert, on this Thursday night, October 24 at 8.30pm. All
members are asked to attend.

KERRY AAI:
Well done to the Tarbert athletes, Sorcha and Sinead Prendiville,
Pulleen, who gained further success at the Co even age, juvenile and
novice cships, held in Firies on October 13. Sorcha and Sinead
are members of the Listowel AC, who won the gold in the girls u14
team event.

COURSING:
Congratulations to the OConnor family, Saleen, on the success
of their greyhound, Razor Town, in the Mike McCormack Memorial Cup
at the Ballyheigue coursing meeting. Also at the meeting Gallant Cameron,
owned by John Flynn, Dooanrd, was runner up in the Oaks Trial Stake.

TEAM: In atrocious weather conditions in Finuge on Sunday,
Tarbert U21 football teams lost to Ballyduff by a score of 2-7 to
1-7 in the semi final of the N Kerry cship. Best for Tarbert

Holly, A Lanigan and sub J Holly. The tram line out was R Dillane,
J Wrenn, M Sheahan, J Wrenn, E Holly, K Deenihan, E OConnell,

GOOD
WISHES: The GAA club would like to wish John OConnell
a full recovery from his recent knee surgery. John will be a big loss
to the senior team, who play Listowel Emmets in the N Kerry cship
on November 3.

HOLIDAYMAKERS:
Presently spending an enjoyable holiday in his native parish from
England is Michael Holly, formerly of Tarmons East. Stephen Carrig
has returned to Boston, after a holiday with family members in Kilpadogue.
Jerry Griffin and his wife, Jo Ann (nee Carrig) and Dave Kelly, have
returned to Syracuse, New York, after visiting relatives and friends
in Tarbert and Castlegregory.
