Tarbert Notes
- Week Ending 5th April |
| |
|
| |
Easter was celebrated with great fervour
and piety in our parish. Most impressive on Good Friday were the processions
to the Church, with the Cross from the two sides of the parish. Also
on Good Friday the charity soup kitchen in the Community Centre for
Listowel Hospice was a tremendous success as was the sponsored walk.
The huge congregation at the childrens mass on Holy Saturday
was a very special occasion for the children and their parents.
The sick of the parish were remembered in the prayers during the Easter
ceremonies. A sincere word of thanks to Very Rev Mossy Brick, PP,
who officiated at all the ceremonies and thanks also to our parish
clerk, Kevin OConnell and to the senior choir and folk choir
and to the many parishioners who participated at the different ceremonies.
The Easter period also saw a big number of Tarbert people home from
many parts of Ireland and overseas, to spend the time with their families
and friends. |
