| Tarbert GAA |
|
| Tarbert GAA club has been in existence since 1897 and has
achieved many great sporting honours, produced a host of great
players that have gone on to represent the parish at both county
and divisional levels, involved tens of thousands of people
- players, patrons, supporters and sponsors alike - in its many
activities, provided countless hours of enjoyment, (with no
little heartache thrown in for good measure at times!) and some
great great memories over the past century. Perhaps most of
all it has played and continues to play a pivotal role in uniting
a local community behind a banner of " Pride in the Parish". |

| Tarbert is of course not unique as this pride is replicated
in every parish throughout Ireland and in many Irish communities
abroad. We would like to pay tribute to all the other local
clubs and organisations and in particular those local GAA clubs
in North Kerry and beyond whose friendly rivalry and fierce
competition has helped in no small way to bring the Club to
where it is at today. |
